ChemChina-owned Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has signed an order for 12 internal mixers with an unnamed major tire company in China.

The equipment will be used to upgrade a new tire production line for the Shandong province-based customer, ChemChina said in a statement.

Marking Yiyan's largest single order for internal mixers, the equipment includes GN-300 and GK-400N mixers. The units are said to offer high output and low energy-consumption.

The company said its optimised mixers have 5 percent higher production efficiency compared to their predecessors.

Yiyang said has improved its design and technology under the guidance of KraussMaffei. Experts from the now ChemChina-owned German company are working at the plant.

The Chinese machinery company said it also expects the Shandong customer to invest in multiple GE 320E/GE590T tandem-mixer production lines at the plant.
