On March 24, the National Office for Science & Technology Awards issued an announcement to publish the accepted projects of 2020 National Science and Technology Award. Among the 1,773 nominated projects, there are three projects that are relevant to rubber industry. They are respectively:

1. Olefin controllable coordination polymerization method and high-performance elastomer preparation technology. This project is nominated as the second prize of National Technology Invention Award. Main completing units include Beijing University of Chemical Technology and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Beijing Yanshan Branch.

2. Key technology and industrialized application of special extrusion molding of rubber products. This project is nominated as the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. Main completing units include Qingdao University of Science & Technology, Inner Mongolia Fute Rubber & Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Rubber Six Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd.

3. Development and application of series standards for styrene butadiene rubber key technology. This project is nominated as the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. Main completing units include PetroChina Company Limited Research Institute of Petrochemical Industry, Lanzhou Petrochemical Branch, Dushanzi Petrochemical Branch, and Jilin Petrochemical Branch.
